CLINICAL STAFF

Eric Gilmore LCSW


Clinical Director

Eric started his career in 2004 working as a mentor for the Dan Fox Guide Home program. After graduating with his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Montana in 2005, he worked in mental health at Western Montana Mental Health as an adult case manager. He then began pursuing his Montana State License for addiction counseling in 2008. After completing an internship with the WATCh program in Warm Springs, he worked at Montana State Prison for four years. While at MSP, he founded the treatment program for the High Security Inmates, the first of its kind in Montana. He completed his Master’s Degree in Social Work from Walla Walla University in December 2012 following an internship and participation in the SUDS program at the VA Fort Harrison in Helena.

Eric started his private practice in 2013 and has grown his practice into what Helena Valley Addiction Services is today.

Eric grew up in rural Michigan and started working on a farm at the age of 12. He enjoys multiple outdoor activities and can often be found on the edge of a lake or river fishing during the summer.

Tammara Rosenleaf

MA, LAC

Licensed Addiction Counselor

Tammara began working as a group home manager in Washington State in 1995. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in Psychology in 1998. She earned her Master’s Degree in Political Science from Antioch, MA in 2004. Since that time, she has gained experience working in alternative education, as a case management specialist, in pre-release, probation & parole and child protection services.

Tammara and her husband Sean live in Helena with their dog Bonita Bean and Sasha the “doat”. She enjoys gardening and quilting in her free time.

April Jackson

Peer Support Specialist

April recently began her career journey as a Certified Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist in April 2022 and was brought on staff in June 2022

April has been actively working on her recovery from addictions and mental health since 2019. Having an active recovery plan is what she credits her sobriety to. In her free time, she enjoys spending time doing hobbies and spending time with her 5 kids and husband. Being an implant to Montana, April enjoys seeing new sites Montana has to offer.

Tony 

Peer Support Specialist

Tony has lived in Helena since 2015 and worked in retail since 2017. He feels that his sobriety was a gift and he wants to share this gift with anyone that will listen. In 2022, after three years sobriety, Tony became Certified Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist. Tony joined the HVAS team in 2023 and states often “still can't believe he's doing it.”

Tony enjoys spending his time with his family and friends, watching football and baseball. To meet Tony is to know Tony as he treats everyone as if he has known them forever (he keeps it real).

ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

Laramie

Care Coordinator/Billing Specialist

Certified Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist

Prior joining the HVAS team, Laramie worked as a medical logistic specialist in the Army Reserves. She has multiple years of professional experience advocating for clients in the medical field with health insurance, screening patients, maintaining patient records and working in billing. Laramie has recently started school to finish her degree in Social work, once she has completed her BSW she has plans to become an LAC.


Laramie was born and raised in Helena, is an Army Reserves Veteran and enjoys spending time with her family, going camping and floating the river.
